HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac University is hosting a National Girls and Women in Sports Day event, free for girls in grades 4-8 in the Greater New Haven area, on Feb. 4 at the TD Bank Sports Center, featuring home games for both women’s basketball (1 p.m.) and women’s ice hockey (3 p.m.).

Enjoy an afternoon of NCAA Division I sporting events, self-esteem building activities, athlete autograph sessions and an optional skate with the Bobcats. Each girl registering is eligible for two free tickets to the women’s ice hockey game vs. Yale University. Come early and your tickets will also get you in to the women’s basketball game against Monmouth. WHEN: February 4, 2017 from 1:45-5:30 p.m.

SCHEDULE:
1:45: Check in at the Lobby of TD Bank and ticket pick up
2:00-3:00: Presentations and activities on self-esteem with Cassie Turner, women’s ice hockey head coach and current female QU student-athletes from all our sports.
3:00-5:00: Attend the QU Women’s Ice Hockey game vs Yale and participate in our trivia challenge during the game.
5:00-5:30: Autograph session with all the student athletes in attendance and an OPTIONAL Skate with the Bobcats
