History

New Haven Juniors Volleyball Club is a not-for-profit New Haven Youth & Recreation program. We are a sub-division of New Haven Volleyball.

New Haven Volleyball is in its twelfth year of providing recreational and competitive volleyball play for residents of New Haven and surrounding towns. In the winter of 2013-2014, New Haven Volleyball created a U18 Pilot Girls program with players from local schools who competed in two tournaments and brought their talents to their varsity teams, thereby contributing to the increased success of said teams. New Haven Juniors Volleyball Club was developed to provide a club experience that we believe develops quality players who demonstrate integrity, commitment, determination, and intensity, while allowing for a well-rounded life. Your fees are used directly toward delivering the program for the players.

The 18U team aims to serve high school and middle school aged players from the New Haven area in order to better prepare them for the high school season. Our players have gone on to become varsity starters, captains, and all conference selections (see next section for further details). Our program has also grown in recent years, with the addition of a 14U travel team in the 2023 season marking our ability to offer a competitive experience for middle schoolers in the area. We are looking to further expand in the 2023-2024 season, as we work to generate enough interest to create a boys 18U team. Please see our travel programs for further information.
