IMPORTANT UPDATE (Sept. 24th, 2023):
Unfortunately, due to the increasingly busy class schedules of our 14U coaches, we will not be able to offer a 14U team for the 2023-2024 club season. Here at New Haven Juniors, we always preach that school comes first, and we would be remiss to stop emphasizing that with our alums and college-age volunteer coaches.
Please be advised that we will not be taking 14U-age players for the 18U team, as they are too young for that age group. Please avoid bringing them to the 18U tryout dates, as we unfortunately will have to turn them away at the door. We hope to be able to reinstate our 14U offering for the 2024-2025 club season. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.
2023 Season Coaches

Although she fluctuated between setter and a libero at Wilbur Cross, as a technically skilled and versatile player, Kaylene has had at least one club season each at setter, libero, and outside hitter during her time at New Haven Juniors. When not playing, Kaylene has dedicated her time as a volunteer assistant coach for the middle school summer clinics. As such, she enters the 2022—2023 season with two full summers of coaching under her belt. This will be her first season at Head Coach, her fourth season with New Haven Juniors, and her sixth year as a player of the game. |
Ryannie Cardenas '22 Assistant Coach / Wilbur Cross '22 / UNH '26 Born and raised in New Haven, Ryannie is a graduate of NHJVBC’s Class of 2022. Although she fluctuated between defensive specialist and outside hitter at Wilbur Cross, she took the helm as captain of the back court during her time at New Haven Juniors, starting at the libero position. An incredibly supportive, knowledgable, and hardworking teammate, she was voted in as Captain of the New Haven Juniors 18U team for her senior year with the program and guided the team through multiple victories and hard-fought matches.
